Eleven of Christina Saj’s pieces are on permanent display in the new Surgery and Critical Care Tower at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown and are part of a larger program addressing the holistic needs of patients their families and the people who work in this world class medical facility. The art seen throughout the facility has been chosen to create soothing, nurturing and calming surroundings. Research shows us that art has the power to improve mood, decrease stress and alleviate anxiety, and Ascension St Thomas hopes to reflect the reverence they hold for their patients with the beautification project.
