“REMEMBERING MYTH is a collection of paintings which explores mythological figures and their journeys. Many of these stories are familiar and part of our historical vocabulary. Their illustration invites us to explore the stages of life’s development and its rituals. These themes appear around us constantly and illuminate our common experience.
“In contemplating these universal symbols of my reinvented mythology, the viewer is invited to consider the works origin and inspiration. These paintings are meant to be interactive. They seek to bridge our own life experience to ancient traditions. But they are rendered in a modern vernacular and employ new techniques such as oil on glass or steel plates mounted on magnets and belong in the 21st century.”
